細胞質内空胞は時折見られるが、腺管腔として判断すべきではない。ムチンをいれない多数の細胞質内空胞を伴うGP５の極端な例としては、印環細胞様の癌である。

Vacuolated cells in GP5. These spaces are not true lumina. When there are abundant vacuoles, the tumor may be considered signet-cell like cancer. The vacuoles do not contain mucin.
