Variants of Gleason Pattern 5 (part 4)

 

Comedonecrosis in invasive carcinoma is sufficient for GP5. It is often seen within solid sheets but may sometimes be found in cribriform glands. If the material really is necrotic with cellular debris along the borders (and not just granular secretions), it qualifies for GP5.
