What Information Does ISUP Collect?
ISUP collects (1) personal information; (2) information about your site usage while browsing our Website; (3) information collected by our analytics service provider; and (4) answers provided on the ISUP education pages of the Website.
The personal information we collect includes your name, email address, institution or employer, title, city and country of residence, a secondary email address, membership category, type of practice, and your main field of interest, and where applicable, your years of training (collectively, “Personal Information”). The Personal Information we collect depends upon the types of information you choose to provide us when you contact us by email with an inquiry or when you enroll to become an ISUP member.
Our ISUP education pages on our Website (“Education Site”) are designed to provide web-based tools for testing and training in uropathology. One feature of the Education Site is that you are able to submit answers to multiple choice questions of the diagnosis you feel most appropriate based upon an image displayed from our image database. We collect these answers to provide statistics or a tally of the number of answers received for a given question.
How Does ISUP Use My Information?
ISUP uses the Personal Information you provide to us when you send us an inquiry to respond to your request. When you sign-up to become a member, we use your email address for the purposes of sending you our e-newsletter, reminders about upcoming meetings and invitations for member input. Should you enroll to become an ISUP member, we will use your Personal Information and any payment card information for the purposes of processing your payment card transaction, which is directly necessary to our performance of our contract with you. We also use the Personal Information you provide us when you choose to enroll as a member to: (1) create login credentials for you on our Website; (2) add you to our membership directory; and (3) provide you with access to member services.
Should you choose to register with our Education Site, we use the username ID, password, and email address you provide to us to create your credentials and provide you with access to the Education Site. We use the answers you provide to questions on the Education Site to tally question results and to show you how you performed in comparison to others that have taken the same test.
We use your Browsing Information to troubleshoot, improve, and optimize our Website for the best possible browsing experience. We use Browsing Information to understand the content and site functions that are most popular among our Website visitors, to track your preferences and to ensure that you see the newest content when you log into our Website. Browsing Information is also used for security and fraud prevention purposes, including during sales transactions on our Website.
Does ISUP Share My Information With Third Parties?
ISUP shares certain Personal Information and Browsing Information we collect about you with third parties who perform services for us pursuant to contract, including website and data hosting and development service providers, as part of the services that we provide to you through our Website. Our contracts with our service providers restrict such service providers from using your Personal Information and Browsing Information except as required to render their services to us. We also share information with Google Analytics for purposes of analyzing our Website usage. ISUP does not sell your information to any organization or business.
On rare occasions, we may be required to disclose your Personal Information and/or Browsing Information as required by law and as necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process served on us.
